AAM Programs

AAM is a tool that enables user to manage accounts by automating actions in overnight processing on a daily, weekly or monthly basis on groups of active accounts based on user defined criteria. With AAM you can schedule processes to:

  1. Change the assigned agent

  2. Apply a capture code

  3. Send a letter

  4. Start a letter series

  5. Change the PPA status of accounts

  6. Change the account status

Each night the system will run all the AAM jobs by Office, in Priority order. If you create an Office called AAAALL and assign jobs to that office, the system will run those jobs in all offices BEFORE running the jobs specifically assigned to that office. If you create an Office called ZZZALL, the system will run jobs assigned to that office in all offices AFTER running the jobs specifically assigned to that office.

The AAM page lists all the programs in the system. If you click the Preview button, the system will run the jobs and generate the associated reports, but not make an actual updates. After adding or changing your AAMs, it's always a good idea to run a Preview and inspect the resulting reports to make sure you are going to get the results you expect.

To create a new AAM, click the Create link in the Operations menu. When you create an AAM, you have a number of options. Use the top half of the screen to select your options, then use the bottom half of the screen to build your query.

On the top of the screen select the Office, Priority and Frequency. Check the boxes for the Collector Types and Pools you want the job to evaluate. Enter a short description telling what the job does. Other fields include

  1. Days: AAM programs can review accounts based on a number of days in the past or future, or by keying a specific date. Days are figured based upon addition or subtraction from today’s date. To select accounts greater than X days ago your select should reflect this: < -x. To select accounts less than X days ago your select should reflect > -x.

  2. New Business: Choose Yes if you want the system to move accounts to matrix category 1, New Business.

  3. Update Override: Choose Yes if you want the system to just generate a list of accounts and NOT actually update the accounts.

  4. Output File: Create a file of account ID’s for further processing.

  5. From Table: In most cases this will be the Accounts table.
